Our heritage

Five centuries of village hospitality

Built in the 1500s on the old road to the Severn crossing, The Boars Head has poured ale for drovers, ferrymen and villagers for over four hundred years. Low oak beams, flagstone floors and a crackling inglenook still set the tone.

Today we're a relaxed village local: real ales, honest country cooking and a garden that looks out over the Gloucestershire fields. Come as you are — boots, dogs and all.
